Multiplication of a number by Six

We all know about the multiplication of any number by 11 and 12.

      From the method of multiplication by 12 , we can modify it and get the method to multiply any number by 6.

   

In case of multiplication by 12 , we multiplied the right most digit by 2 and added to the neighbouring left digits successively. 

    With modifying this method , we will add half of the neighbouring numbers from right to left direction.

   Note : Add an extra 5 to odd numbers in the given number.
     ” Rule : Half-Add -Right to Left ”
Let’s look understand with the help of examples. 

     

      6543 × 6 =?
 》》 6543 +6 =?

     

= 3 // 6 +2 // 5 +2 +5 // 4+1 // 3+5
= 3//8 //12//5//8
=39258

One more example 

       Let’s take simple example of 264 ×6 =?
   1 / /2 +3 // 6+2 // 4
=1584 

  

634 ×6 =? 

= 3// 6+1 //3 +2+5 //4
=3 //7 //10 //4
3804
